Procopio Website Redesign
Procopio is an AmLaw 200 corporate and litigation law firm with nearly 200 attorneys in 7 offices throughout the United States. While working at Mindgruve, a digital agency, I was assigned as the main front-end developer on Procopio.com's redesign. This project presented an exciting challenge considering the complexity of their business operations and the many components required to fulfill the feature-rich design.
GatsbyJS & WordPress
A key component of the updated website is GatsbyJS, a static site generator that enables developers to build feature-rich websites using ReactJS and GraphQL. The other key component is using a headless CMS as a data source, in this case, WordPress. A headless CMS provides Procopio with an easy-to-use interface to manage content, while allowing me to access the same content in a structured, protocol-agnostic format. It's "headless" because it provides an API that can be used by any type of front-end system.
Speed Optimization Drives 46.5% Increase in Visitors
Since a one-second delay in loading can reduce website conversions by up to 7%, I made sure I built every page with speed optimization in mind and made a score of 98/100 from Google’s page speed insights as my goal. In the first year since launch, Procopio's international site visitors increased 46.5 percent and organic search increased 89.6 percent.
